Casa Design Consulting New Mom Virtual Course & Toy Edit

Before Charlotte arrived I wanted to learn more about creating a space for her to enjoy while also stimulating her developmental needs. Aubrey and Christine of Casa Design helped me turn this corner into the most cozy, educational corner for Charlotte’s tummy time. It’s such a beautiful, calming space. Christine was so diligent when setting up the mobile and explaining to me how to adapt the different mobiles as her developmental needs change. 

This tummy time mat is so beautiful in this space! It’s very plush and cozy. 

She also shared the idea of a  “treasure basket” – a shallow, soft basket with a few items for baby to reach for. To get inspired with some simple treasure baskets for your little ones, go to Pinterest and search “montessori treasure basket.” This is so fun and I’m so excited to learn even more and curate these baskets for Charlotte in the future. 

I used these sensory cards with Odie while he was a baby. Christine set them up for Charlotte to see while enjoying tummy time – along with a mirror. A mirror is super important for newborns as they get to know their bodies. Be sure it is a non-breakable one! 

This mobile is such a sweet addition to the space. It comes with multiple mobiles to switch out during each developmental milestone as well as instructions on when to swap them in the first 5 months of life. 

In addition to this tummy time space, Christine helped me organize my bedside cart. I love these three tiered carts so much! I got this one when I was pregnant with Odie. It came in handy being at arms reach during c-section recovery. I still use it today, but it has totally become a catch all vs organized station. It was in desperate need for a little love from Casa Design. 

I don’t have space next to my bed for a night stand – so this serves that purpose wonderfully.
